The Max Planck Diet
Having decided that I needed to lose some weight I started on a diet known as the "Max Planck Diet". According to the info I was given you can lose up to 9 kilograms in two weeks. I would always be skeptical about things like this, but my mum has done the diet and shed 7 kilos, so I thought I'd give it a try. The hardest part is not the foods which you have to eat during the two week period, but the fact that absolutely no alcohol whatsoever is permitted. I needed to get this over and done with before the World Cup starts.
MunichNights - Nightlife Guide - More fun than dieting!
Day 1 (Wednesday, April 17th) - 98Kg
The first day of the diet and I'm all full of enthusiasm. Well initially anyway. Weighing in at exactly 98kg it was time to get moving. The breakfast was easy enough, just black coffee with no sugar. Since this is all I normally have for breakfast anyway, it was no big deal. Plus, we had been out in Kilian's on Tuesday night and quaffed a load of beers so I was in no mood for food anyway. As the morning dragged on I started to think more and more about food. All types of food, knowing that it'd be a while before I would get my hands, or teeth, onto them. Went out at around 12:30 to find my lunch. Two boiled eggs, spinach and a little salt. The boiled eggs were no problem but I probably lost half a kilo looking for someone to sell me some spinach. Even had an argument with a Chinese shop owner because he was trying to sell me frozen brussels sprouts instead. So anyway, cut up the boiled eggs and placed them in a decorative manner on the pile of fresh spinach in an attempt to make it look more attractive. It did not work. The afternoon dragged on interminably with images of kebabs, pizzas and haxn floating through my head. I decided I was going mad. After work I headed over to Ligsalz to have my dinner. One big steak, green salad, celery and the bar staff telling me that I didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of lasting for the two weeks without a beer. Thanks for the support guys. The 'meal' was fine and since I was, at that stage, dying with the hunger, I cleared every bit of it in about 6 minutes flat. Dropped into Tengelmann's on the way home and bought a bag of celery. Gonna live on the edge.
Day 2 (Thursday, April 18th) - 97.3Kg
Day two was not a lot of fun. For breakfast I was allowed black coffee and a bread roll. Unfortunately I had bought the roll on Wednesday so it was pretty dry when I had it. Sat in front of the TV with my coffee & dry bread roll feeling thoroughly miserable. Lunch was a bit mad. Kathrin came over and I cooked up two large steaks marinaded in nothing and covered in a beautiful nothing sauce. But that's ok because we had lettuce. Yum-bloody-yum. After dinner we were allowed any type of fruit so we went for pineapple. Well spank my ass and call me Charlie, my life is complete. The afternoon again passed slowly and as I walked home from work, every doorway, shop or office seemed to have exotic inviting smells wafting out at me. The bastards! By the time I got home I could have eaten the crotch out of a low flying duck!! And dinner was such a great treat to look forward to. 600g of cooked ham between myself and Kathrin. No fruit, no salad, no fecking nothing, just 600g of cooked ham. I dreamed of putting the ham between two great doorsteps of bread, coating it with a delicate covering of mayonaise, adding a few slices of carefully cut Edam and then spreading a generous helping of Branston Pickle on top...mmmmmm. NO!!! Just fecking ham, washed down with about two litres of water.
Day 3 (Friday, April 19th) - 96.7Kg
This diet is proving itself not to be a lot of fun. I have simple needs in life and beer is one of them. Now that may make me a bad person in some peoples eyes, but frankly my dear, I don't give a damn. The only liquids which I have consumed in the last three days have been 2 cups of black coffee in the mornings and water the rest of the time. It may be good, it may be healthy, but pleasant it most certainly is not. And that's how I started my day today, black coffee and a bread roll, unsweetened, unbuttered, unpleasant. The prescribed lunch was 2 boiled eggs, lettuce and tomato.ÃÂ
Unfortunatly my local shop only had one boiled egg left. So I took it and a raw one, planning to boil it back at the office. When I got to the fruit and veg shop, they had painted boiled eggs on the counter (hopefully not there since Easter) so I took one of those. Despair set in when I got back to the office and realised that egg number two had been produced by a hen which presumably had just passed puberty and didn't realise that SIZE IS IMPORTANT!!! This is what I have been reduced to after three days with Max. Stressed out and pissed off because one boiled egg is a little smaller than the other. For dinner I had 400g of cooked ham with the added bonus that I was allowed to have lettuce with it. Oh sweet Jesus if I never see lettuce again after this is over it'll be too soon. Eleven more days to go and I'm having a nervous breakdown already. At least I can rely on the support of my friends. I've received a number of e-mails describing succulent delicious food-stuffs. Thanks guys. Christ I could murder a 12" Caesar special with Hackfleisch and an icy cold Helles. The takeaway is about 50 metres down the road and they deliver within 20 minutes. Granted they have me listed as Herr Merthy, but at this stage I could forgive even that.
Day 4 (Saturday, April 20th) - 96.6Kg
This is more fun than one man deserves. I believe that everyone should go on this diet and get to experience the joys that I have experienced in the last few days. I weighed myself this morning and was 96.8kg. I was not happy at the prospect of being back up 0.1 of a kilo. I sat down had a glass of water and a cigarette and tried to figure out what it meant if I was putting weight back on again. Then it came. Beethovens 5th Movement and five minutes later I was weighing in at the above 96.6. So, on with the joyeous breakfast of black coffee and one unsweetened bread roll. Getting used to that little routine actually. Put the kettle on, stare at the bread roll lustfully, make the coffee, eat the roll slowly to make the pleasure last as long as possible, drink the coffee, hoover up the crumbs from the floor.ÃÂ What a thrill. Went into town to do a bit of shopping and Kathrin was in charge of bringing lunch. As the heavens opened and it started to piss down we stood under a shop awning and feasted on carrots, swiss chesse and one boiled egg each. Strangely enough I felt quite full afterwards. Oh my God, what if in future I am only able to eat normal sized meals. My powers are vanishing!! Dinner was surprisingly enjoyable. A fruit salad consisting of apples, banana, raisins, orange & kiwi mixed into a bowl of natural yoghurt. I was only sorry there weren't seconds. Watched Roddy Doyle's "The Van" in the evening. Probably not the brightest move in the world to watch a movie about 2 guys making battered sausages, burgers and chips and people drinking shit-loads of pints whilst watching Italia '90. Oh well, these are the things which are sent to try us.
Day 5 (Sunday, April 21st) - 96.2Kg
"Another day down and deeper in diet"...or something like that. Breakfast today was bloody gross!!! Carrots in lemon juice. This is not how the good Lord intended Sundays to start. I reckon the inventors of this diet just put that one in to see just what they could actually get people to eat. Yeeuuccchhh!!! Just as well there was black coffee with it or otherwise I wouldn't have made it. Lunch was the steamed fish and tomato affair. Kathrin had brought over some salmon, although I'm still dubious as to whether it was or not. But anyway, we then called my mum to find out how you are supposed to steam fish. Well, it's not that obvious from just looking at a fish and a cooker! It was actually very nice although not exactly as filling as one would have hoped. But all was not lost as we are back on the steaks for dinner. Steak and lettuce, a truly nourishing meal. It's weird, but you can eat a huge steak and still not feel full afterwards. My body is crying out for stuff like potatoes, pasta, dressings, garnishes, sauces. All the stuff that turns a plate of cooked meat into a meal. Approaching the end of the first week now. Haven't had an alcoholic beverage since last Tuesday evening. Had a phone call from one of the breweries here in Munich asking if I was ok. Apparently profits are down and they've just found out why. Seriously though, I'm not so worried anymore about sticking to the diet or staying off the booze. I'm more concerned with the fact that I have to face that damn carrot & lemon juice concoction again next Sunday.
Day 6 (Monday, April 22nd) - 95.5Kg
The fridge in my apartment currently contains half a head of lettuce, some celery, half a dozen carrots, a few eggs, bottled water and shag all else. This is bad for my image, it looks as though I am a health conscious person. Anyway, this thing looks like it might actually be working. Roughly half a kilo lost per day so far. Incidentally, my weighing is done first thing in the morning. Today was a relatively good day on the food front, at least less unappealing than some of the previous days. Breakfast was the usual black coffee & roll affair. Went for two medium sized rather than one bigger one. It's the same amount of roll, but psychologically it seems like more. Lunch was oddly enough quite hard to come by. One grilled chicken. You'd think I could find that on every street corner in Bavaria, but not so around Westend where I live & work. Anyway after quite a long wander round my area, I eventually settled in Wienerwald.
Not bad, but I could only manage to finish about three quarters of the thing before I felt full. Nice chicken though. Stopped into Ligsalz on the way home for a coffee and some more abuse from Udo and the guys. Hey, to hell with them, I'm losing weight, they're not!! Of course they're enjoying their food & drink and I'm not. Oh well. Dinner was less exciting. Two boiled eggs and some carrots.
The Turkish guy in the little shop across the road is starting to look at me strangely when I go in. I used to buy a bottle of diet coke, some Pringles and perhaps a bar of chocolate or some biscuits. Now it's bottled water and vegetables. I've just about about named their entire inventory so it is quite noticeable. Anyway, dinner tomorrow evening is, "EAT WHATEVER YOU WANT!!" and I am going through intense internal turmoil trying to decide WHAT I WANT!!. It better be good because on Wednesday morning I have to start the whole cycle again.
Day 7 (Tuesday, April 23nd) - 94.9Kg
Tuesday went ok, but for some reason, the day felt very much like a Friday. Strange that. Breakfast was simply tea with lemon juice. I may have overdone it slightly on the lemon juice but I managed to get through it ok. Missed my bread roll though. Still the thoughts that I was down over 3kg was keeping me going. For lunch I nipped home and cooked up a steak to be served with ANY fruit in ANY amount. So I had an apple. And then came the dinner I was so looking forward to for the last week. EAT WHATEVER YOU WANT! We went to an Italian restaurant called "Bei Mario" on Adelbertstr at about 8p.m. I had a starter of noodle soup with pieces of meat in it. For main course I went for a pizza with ham, cheese, tomato, mushroom and pepperoni. Very nice it was too and I even put salt on it. Ok so I wasn't able to finish the whole thing, but I made a valient effort. Kathrin skipped the starter and had a spaghetti & mussels main course. Relaxed for a bit after dinner and then we both went for the Tiramisu dessert. That was the best part of the whole thing for me. Luscious, creamy and totally against all diets. Of course alcohol was still forbidden so we downed a couple of bottles of water instead. And now we get to start the diet all over again for another week. Oh joy and rapture!!
Day 8 (Wednesday, April 24nd) - 96.8Kg
So here we go again for another week. I was gutted when I weighed myself this morning and saw that I was back up almost 2Kg. Damn that pizza with extra cheese! This is not the way a diet is supposed to work. You're supposed to be losing weight, not putting it back on. Anyway, had my coffee for breakfast and thought about what was going to happen over the next seven days. I now know that staying off the beer won't be a problem. I've managed this far and I can manage a bit further. Of course another weekend is looming but I'm sure I'll get through it unscathed by the demon drink. Got my lunch of two boiled eggs & spinach without incident. Now that I know where stuff like fruit and vegetables are bought, it's becoming quite routine. On the way home I picked up my 'big steak' from the butcher who now knows what I want without my having to ask, and the lettuce & celery posed no problems either. If there's anything really difficult in this diet it's that all the food tastes very bland. We've become very reliant on dressings, sauces, spices, etc and quite often forget that the food itself is for the most part quite tasteless. However, we shall soldier on...
Day 9 (Thursday, April 25th) - 95.0Kg
Much to my surprise, when I checked this morning, I had lost the weight that had been put on the previous day. All very strange. It's as though the pizza & tiramisu thing never happened. I'm not complaining. At this stage I really just want to get the whole thing over and done with. At least then I can say that I saw it through till the end. Plus, being off drink for two weeks can only be good for me. So breakfast of coffee & a roll went as normal. Had to go home at lunchtime to cook up the steak and prepare the bed of lettuce. They specified fruit as well so I had an apple on the way back to the office. What a wild and crazy guy I am. Kathrin came over in the evening armed with 4 packets of cooked ham. Oh, how we feasted.ÃÂ Apparently I woke up in the early hours of the morning muttering something about being offered a box of chocolates. That's another thing. Since I started this diet I've had some seriously odd dreams. One of them would have actually made a great action movie, but that's a story for another day.
Day 10 (Friday, April 26th) - 95.9Kg
What?!?!? I'm putting weight on again, this can't be right!
Very odd, am sticking rigidly to the diet and yet I managed to put back on 0.9kg. By the end of my mothers first week she was down five kilos. Guess it's different for everyone depending on your metabolism when you start the diet. Granted, this morning weighing-in thing might appear to be becoming a bit of an obsession, but it's just a two week obsession and normal programming shall resume next Wednesday. Anyway, no need to describe the morning roll & black coffee in any great detail. It did the job and filled a gap. For lunch I was back on the two boiled eggs, lettuce and tomato combination. I'm looking forward to getting back down to the InterCafe on DachauerstraÃÂe next week for a hot wrap Geflügel. God I miss those. Dinner was the ham & lettuce extravaganza. Great. Day 10 really is not a good day on the food front. Not a lot of joy to be had for Rog. Met up with Paul in Günther Murphy's and had a few litres of bottled water. Irish pubs are a whole different story when you're not having a few beers.
Day 11 (Saturday, April 27th) - 95.2Kg
And now the extra weight is going away again. It's like a bloody rollercoaster this thing. Breakfast was blah, blah, blah. Although I should treasure it because tomorrow is that carrot with lemon juice concoction. Coffee & a roll is sheer heaven compared to that. Anyway, went out for a drive today to check out some areas in Munich where I might move to. Am looking for a new apartment at the moment. So lunch of carrots and cheese was eaten on the move. Supposed to have a boiled egg with it, but didn't get them in the supermarket so when we got back to my apartment I got them organised as a sort of pre-dinner appetiser. Dinner was the fruit with natural yoghurt affair. And once again, it was bloody good. Apple, banana, orange, kiwi & raisins and cut up really small and mixed in with the yoghurt. Not what one would normally call dinner, but under the circumstances very yummy.ÃÂ Managed to sit at the same table as Martyn & Paul in Zur Brezn whilst they quaffed beers & munched ribs without any problem. I'm getting used to this going out and not drinking business. Not too used to it I hope though. No matter how good this is for me and how easy it has become, it ends on Day 14 and on Day 15 I'm back to normal. Maybe the weight will stay off and maybe not, but I'm not too bothered. At least I'll have shown the doubters and definitely cleaned out the system pretty well.
Day 12 (Sunday, April 28th) - 94.2Kg
Big drop in weight from yesterday. Partially due to drinking 3 litres of water last night which pretty much completely flushed out my system. Ahhh, carrots in lemon juice for breakfast. Oh how I've missed this particular treat. Actually it wasn't too bad. Left the carrots whole and kinda rolled them in the lemon juice to just give them a light coating and then munched them down as quickly as possible. I think I can safely say that I won't ever be having that particular breakfast again. Lunch was the steamed fish with tomatoes again. We had a little salmon and a little of some other kind of fish, the species of which is at present unknown to me. All I know is that it tasted of fish. Strange that the one thing in this diet that I would normally stay well away from (fish) happens to be about the only thing which has any flavour to it.ÃÂ Dinner was steak with lettuce. It was not nice. I can't say for certain if I overcooked it or undercooked it, but it tasted like slightly moist cardboard. Only two days to go. I've started fantasizing again about things like coke, burgers, chips, etc. I don't want to pig out on food 'causeÃÂ I'm really not all that hungry, but I'd love a bite of about 50 different foodstuffs which I've really missed over the last two weeks. The strangest thing of all is that at this moment in time, I would much prefer a big glass of coke to a beer. I thought it'd be the beer I'd miss most, but it's not. That's not to say that there won't be beers consumed on Wednesday. There will. Oh yes indeed!
Day 13 (Monday, April 29th) - 93.6Kg
There's a bakery down the road from my apartment that sells absolutely lovely bread. There's nothing like a roll in the morning which has only minutes earlier come out of the oven. Mmmmm. That and a cup of coffee and we're done with the breakfast. Today was grilled chicken day. There was a different guy working in Wiener Wald today so I had the fun of ordering again. "Could I have a grilled chicken please and a large glass of water?"......"No problem, half a chicken and a glass of water"......."No, no, I want the whole chicken, grilled"......."What?!?"......."Yeah the whole chicken"......."All of it?"......"That's right, and a glass of water, and no side salad, just the chicken and the water, thanks.". Ahhh the simple things that amuse us. Dinner was two boiled eggs and carrots. There's not really a lot that one can say regarding two boiled eggs and carrots. The eggs were boiled, the carrots were not, that's about it. Out in O'Reillys last night for a couple of pints of fizzy water...yumm. Tomorrow is the "EAT WHATEVER YOU WANT" dinner and it's my turn to decide what dinner will be. I need to give this some thought. Possibly a Caesar Special, or a kebab, or a bacon, egg & sausage roll from Günthers or the Kilian's Irish breakfast, or a Haxn. So many choices....
Day 14 (Tuesday, April 30th) - 93.6Kg
Well, the last day of the diet and between yesterday and today I lost absolutely nothing. The official final weigh-in will be tomorrow morning so I am hoping to hit the 93Kg mark. Fingers crossed. It was tough going at the beginning and there were a couple of nights out where I would have really enjoyed a few beers, but I'm glad that I have stuck with it. Apart from any weight loss at all, it's been good to take an alcohol break and clean out the system a little. Had today's breakfast of tea with lemon when I came into work and then went home for the steak & fruit. Tonight I can eat whatever I want and to be honest I really haven't a clue what I fancy. Lots of possibilities so I'll decide a bit later on. Anyway, I'll update this page tomorrow with the final result. And I definitely will not be keeping this chart going as I put the weight back on afterwards.
Day 15 (Wednesday, May 1st) - ??.?Kg
19th August, 2002 - Thought I'd do a little update to this page as a lot of people appear to be looking at it. I know a few people who have tried this diet and the results seem to vary quite a lot for everyone. I lost a reasonable amount of weight over the two weeks, but it was back on a couple of weeks later. The diet says that if you eat normally, you will not put on weight for three years. This is clearly bullshit, or else maybe I just don't eat normally :-). My mother, for example, did not put any weight back on afterwards. As I said, different people, different results. For example, I know of one girl who did it for three days and just gave up because it made her feel sick. There's no magic diet which will work miracles for weight loss. Yes, this Max Planck business should work and allow you to drop at least a couple of kilos. But it's very unpleasant and there's a good chance you'll pop the Kgs back on afterwards anyway, so you could argue, what's the point.
Anyway, good luck if you try it but you shouldn't take the whole thing too seriously. In the end, I only did the diet to prove to the doubters that I could.
Here's a few comments out of my Guestbook from some people regarding the diet...
27.04.05 Heidi B (New York) - Its me again - it has been almost 2 months since I finished the diet! I have lost another 4 lbs (after the diet, but as a result of the diet- eating less)for a total of 14! It works. You can keep it off.. but not be eating crap..
27.04.05 Claire (Cape Town) - I think, like others, googling Max Planck has intorduced us to your site and the hilarious account of your diet experience. (i'm on day 3 and going strong)It seems like half of Cape Town is on this diet.Well, we do need to keep ourselves looking fabulous girls ! See you at the veggie counter ! ps. a friend that only needed to drop a kilo or so - lost five and didn't gain for 3 years. to keep wight off it's simple - don't eat crap!
22.03.05 Harold (Cape Town) - Hi, I'm seriously contemplating the diet,as I know somebody who tried it, did well & then picked it all up again. It seems very similar to the Atkin's Diet, from what I can see, is a High protein diet, please help, Tks.
28.02.05 Heidi B (New York) - I have done this diet a couple of times in the past 8 years! I found it when I lived in Munich... no one outside of Munich ever heard of it. I always lose 7-10 pounds and I generally keep it off for a year or more! I have passed on to family who also swears by it. One error in the actual diet page (the diary has it correct), on day 4 you can have plain (I use no- fat)yogurt
22.02.05 Evelyn (Kenya) - Thanks so much for this site when i got this diet plan i thought it was crazy and that nobody has tried it but thanks to all of you but one thing though as somebody put it does it garantee three years without gainng weight? and how long should one wait to try it again?
22.02.05 LostAngel - I used the Plank Diet and it worked, i lost 5 kilos and now i'm 51 kilos, never got back the weight i lost.
03.02.05 Liz (Zimbabwe) - Day 1 was 80kg, Day 11 am 75kg.It really works. But week 1 I was an emotional wreck. Day 8 (after the eat what you want which also happened to be my birthday eve) I had some cheese and chocolate( It was just lying there in the frigde). This will not help me to loose weight of course.Am now more strict with myself though, but cant wait to finish. My ideal weight is 65kg though. Any suggestions?
01.02.05 Sara(South Africa) - Just discovered your site today. We have just finished day 14 of the diet and my partner and I have lost 6kgs and 4kgs respectively. My only problem with the diet was that I was BORED, never hungry, just BORED! I just wanted taste back! Good Luck to anyone else who tries it, it does work if you follow the instructions .
26.01.05 Cathy(Cape Town) - Hi. I'm on day 2 of this diet, and so far I've only had my taste-buds attempt at suicide once. As I really don't like eggs, on day one I decided to 'hide' the eggs in the spinach. I soft boiled them and mixed the mush up with the spinach - YUK. Don't try this at home people - your system WILL go into toxic shock. Anyhow, I started day one over again, and did the eggs hard-boiled and flushed them down with black coffee (no sugar). Have not had any other wobblies, so all seems well. Your humorous diary of the diet is super, and it has inspired 2 others to give it a shot. Let's hope we all shed a couple of kilos & hopefully survive the experience.
12.01.04 Michele (South Africa) - Hey! Today is day 8 for me, so far down 3.5kg. Thank you for your inspiring daily update Rog. It certainly give me reason to continue.
07.12.03 Meg (Australia) - I have tried the Max Planck diet and found it does work. I don't mind the spinach. The no alcohol is a problem. My problem is that I have lost my copy of the diet. Please could somebody send it to me?
14.10.03 John (South Africa) - Loved your diet commentary. I have done the diet and I lost 5kg in the 13 days which was a real boost for me. I cheated once when I had 3 whiskies on the 3rd night. I had put on a lot of weight over Christmas and I wanted to get back to my running. A girl at work lost 5kgs as well on the diet. A friend of mine dropped 5kgs off his 100kgs even though he did not complete the last 3 days. So all in all this diet seems to work for most people. That bit about not putting on weight for 3 years is bull. You have to exercise and/or control your diet or you will put on weight. Kind regards JD
09.04.03 Ewanna (UAE) - very very funny ... I want to try the diet now just so I can see for myself.
28.02.03 Corne' (South Africa) - Interesting write-up. My sister says she lost six Kgs four months ago and only put two back on (over the Christmas period). The whole family is currently on day 5 and visions of chocolate cake and an ice cold bear haunts us, but all of us are loosing weight. Thanks
16.02.03 Monica (Texas) - I have just lived through 2 weeks of the Max-Planck-Diet (tonight is the "anything you want to eat" day, and on checking if this diet really exists or some cruel person made it up, found your "story". Nothing new there, I felt exactly the same way. Have lost 10 pounds, have never been a fanatic about weight, don't really have a big problem, but my cardiologist thought I should lose 10. So I did. Let's hope it stays lost. Your report brightened my day.
13.10.02 Tim - Monday October 14th here we go and see how much I can lose.
09.06.02 Christine - Nice to hear from someone who experienced the diet first hand. I am thinking of starting it but the problem is that I am not a great protein eater. And I'll miss the drink!! The salad bit suits me though!!
27.07.02 Rose - My sister faxed me the diet a week or so ago...said she lost 4 kilos ...I did start out, but packed it in about day 4...couldn't hack it. Its tough! Well done Rog. One of these days I'll do it again though
08.05.02 Shaun - You should write a book mate - "Murphy's Diets : This week I have bin mostly eating...". Entertaining stuff.
05.02.02 Miranda - I am really and truly gob smacked ... you've done great i did the first day and got so ill that i have now developed a bad flu and had to miss work.... i actually thought i was going to die because I didn't have some toast to start the day off... i then got a telling off from my manager for going on the silly diet ...
A number of people have mailed me looking for details of the diet. You can figure it out by reading the diary excerpts, but here it is anyway.

On the eighth day, the diet starts from the beginning again and runs for another week. After this, you can basically eat as normal again. You should nevertheless always pay attention to, and limit, fat, sauces and sweets.
If you keep strictly to this diet plan for two weeks, you can lose between 3 and 9 kg. This diet initiates a change in your metabolism that should make it possible for you to keep your weight at a stable level, even after the diet.
As much mineral water as possible should be drunk during the complete diet. And you should continue to drink up to 3 litres of mineral water after the diet.
Disclaimer: I am in no way endorsing this or any other diet method. As you can read above, some people actually got ill from following this thing. I did it primarily to prove to some people that I had the will-power to stick to it. I put the weight back on soon after and really I don't care. In fact, I think the whole thing is basically nonsense and if you really want to lose some weight, go easy on the alcohol and get some exercise!ÃÂ If you decide to follow this or any other diet then you do so entirely by your own volition and at your own risk.
