Boys Night Out - 28th February, 2004

(Click the thumbnails for the big picture.)

Boys Night Out was planned purely as an exercise to go alongside the already well-established Girls Night Out. A simple premise was applied. Get a group of blokes to go for a Mexican, a big pile of beers and subsequently head off into the night in search of general amusement. Due to at least 50% of the participants being clearly off the singles market, the evening took a very obvious swing in the direction of meeting up with various partners (and potential partners) who were at the aforementioned Girls Night Out. Still we managed to spill a cocktail (it was a poncey one anyway), break a beer glass (spilling beer, sacrilege I know), get the waitress involved in tequila rounds, severely damage a mobile phone, disturb any and all diners in a 10m radius and generally have a damn good time!

This was my main reason for wanting to go to Enchilada's. I absolutely love their pepper crust steak.

The object of the exercise was to take lots of photos of the Boys Night Out while not actually taking any photos of the participants.

Respect to Enchilada's. This was the first time ever that they've gotten all the details correct when I've made a reservation there. Top notch stuff.

The "no faces photography" plan  was then modified slightly to only include photos of our lovely waitress.

Then the chaps above started to happen and the plot was suddenly well and truly verloren.

Of course the one and only rule of Boys Night Out was broken when Aaron showed up with his girlfriend Christy. Once it was established that she wasn't actually the stripper who we had secretly hired we all sat down for a few drinks.

Erik and the non-functioning phone.

Believe it or not, the waitress was probably the only sober person in the immediate vicinity.

Ok, I did say that she was the only sober one. That doesn't mean that she didn't have at least one tequila.

One of the better shop names in Munich.

After Enchilada's we headed down to Alter Simpl to meet up with some of the girls. As such more beers followed further adventures in tequila land and so on and so forth.

There's another caption-worthy picture. Shame I can't come up with a decent one right now.

So, the first BNO was a relative success although certainly more distance should be put between the B's and their comfort zones the next time! We shall see what happens.
