Took a drive down as far as Innsbruck with Kathrin and Merter to meet up with Mr. Martyn Latty. Martyn had flown into Salzburg the previous day and driven across to Innsbruck. After a couple of false starts, dinner was to be found in Papa Joe's restaurant next door to the hotel where we were staying.
Excellent big beers to be had!!!
And a rather amusing urinal mat. Scored about 53 goals that evening.
Next morning we had a wander round the town for a few piccies.
And then we headed off for the mountain!
Not by hang-glider or plane as above, but by taking the cable car most of the way up.
The views were absolutely spectacular!
And plenty of climbing and posing to be done.
The boys decided to tackle one of the littler peaks and managed the whole affair quite admirably.
"Three little birds, sit by my doorstep"... The sign clearly states in 3 languages that you are not supposed to feed the birds. The languages are German, English & French. So the moronic Italian woman beside us chose to ignore it and proceeded to throw fistfulls of bread to them. Muppet!
Gratuitous beaver shot!! After coming part way down the mountain we paid a visit to the Alpine Zoo. To be totally honest it's not really worth the money. Especially since the bears had been temporarily relocated while their enclosure was being enlarged.
Certainly the eagles were very impressive, but not much to really keep my interest otherwise.
These two photos above didn't come out well at all, but I still want to include them. The women was in playing with the wolves. It was quite an impressive scene.
Merter and Kathrin take a break to wait for the cable-car down the rest of the mountain whilst myself and Latty headed off on foot to scout out a place for dinner that evening.
One place I'd certainly be dubious about eating is an Indian restaurant located next to an animal hospital. You just never know, do you?
Young love in the making.
As for the three shots above. Well, suffice to say they were inspired by page 27 of some mens catalogue or other. I can't explain Kathrin and the spoon though.
One hot girl in the group and she's the one taking the photos.
Surveying the scene with a nice cuppa.
