Odai - 26th April, 2004
(Click the thumbnails for the big picture.)
Curtesy of information from our Bass Profundo in residence, Steve, we found ourselves at the re-launch bash for Odai, a Japanese restaurant in Schwabing. With the offer of a free buffet and about 300 litres of free beer going a-begging how could we possibly resist.
The restaurant is on the corner of Schellingstr and Arcisstr and is well worth a visit! The owner, Somchai Klangnoi, is a very pleasant bloke and his wife was there too making sure that everyone was well looked after. The waitresses are well up to the high Munich standard in the looks department too.
The decor is based on Japanese Manga cartoons.
Now that's the kind of drinks card I like to see.
The food was excellent and there was plenty of it.
Eric was amazed that more of the Dutch contingent didn't show up. Free stuff and tulips were in abundance!
A pile of food and all the free beer in the world....gorgeous waitresses....very friendly owner....what more could a body want on a Monday night. I'll definitely be back to check the place out on a normal, non free night. Go there, it's fun. Not a carved dragon in sight!!!

The magic shoes.
After we decided that it was about time we paid for a few drinks we headed off up Schellingstr to Schall & Rauch. Hmmm, we ended up getting a couple of free drinks there too. Must have been the influence of the moon or sommat.
