Tacos Y Tequila - 9th May, 2004

(Click the thumbnails for the big picture.)

Sunday night and the location was Tacos Y Tequila on Herzogstr for the Cinco de Mayo celebrations. The blurb on this is as follows...Cinco de Mayo, (Spanish for “Fifth of May”), commemorating the Mexican Army’s defeat of French forces on May 5, 1862, in the Battle of Puebla. During the battle, General Ignacio Zaragoza led the vastly outnumbered Mexican army to victory over the French forces of Emperor Napoleon III. The triumph of Mexican forces at the Battle of Puebla became a symbol of Mexican unity and patriotism. While often confused with Mexican Independence Day (Sept 16), it is still widely celebrated in Mexico and throughout the southwest of the US. So now you know.

The food in Tacos Y Tequila is excellent, but I was a little disappointed with the portions. I'm used to Mexicans in Munich serving up a massive feed. I guess it's probably a good thing that they were more reasonably sized.

Girls in twos!

Top quality urinal.

Class, pure class!

Piñata time! It was supposed to be inside the restaurant but they decided that there wasn't enough room so we all piled out onto Herzogstr. All the girls put their names onto pieces of paper and were chosen at random to get blindfolded and have a crack at the cow. We been told that it was an Adult Piñata. When it finally broke under the relentless twatting the street was covered in chocolates, wind-up penises, massage oils and the like. A lot of fun was had!

Ken and his luminous knob!

It's not a party unless there are balloons. Here's a couple of Ryvita-eaters with a big see-through one!

Barman in action.

Judging by Steve's expression above I might leave the camera at home next time.

That's a little bit rude, innit?

Sangria time!

Ah, Suß.

And then we went outside to go home. This lasted all of about 2 minutes as Rob showed up so the only polite thing to do was to head back inside for one more

Kathrin with David, the bloke who organised the evening.

An absolute picture. Lovely girl, lovely evening!
