Wiesn - 17.09.05

(Click the thumbnails for the big picture.)

We kicked off Oktoberfest 2005 at the Fischer Vroni tent. Gabi & Brad had organised a couple of tables and were waiting for us when we arrived just before 9am. Others showed up soon after and it wasn't long before our two tables and most of the tent was full. We heard from others that many of the tents had closed their doors before 10am. It really is getting worse every year.

Official kickoff time was midday so we had a long wait during which we wolfed down a decent breakfast courtesy of everyone who brought bits of this and bits of that. Sausages, brezn, coffee, pickles, ham, you can't go wrong.

The local plod had no problems having their photo taken. I realised I was pushing it when I told the bloke on the left that he should smile more and not be so grumpy. I hadn't even had a drink at that stage!

And then it began with a bang.

Prost!

If you can smoke it there's someone selling it.

As I say all the time, I love dirndls on women!

I'm really not so sure about the boots.

A rose by any other name...

Say cheese!

A few of the people who worked their arses off making sure everyone was fed and watered. Beer, bread and chicken, what more could one want.

Oktoberfest lucky dip.

Silva and a fish head. The possibilities are endless.

Nicole and her new friend.

"OH MY GOD!!!"

The usual, "Where are you? I can't hear a word you're saying. No I can't see you"

Grabbing a handful as it were.

Izabella and her phone. If anyone has the phone she'd really like it back. Please.

I, Keano.

Photo girls.

Sing your heart out ladies.

"You're my beshtist friend in the whole world. Fucking diamond, thas whash you are."

And then there's the part of the evening where people start to expose various bits of themselves.

Look up!

Waiting for the bus to go home after quite a few Maß, a lot of singing & shouting and an overall great day at the Wiesn.
